Although I've pledged my allegiance to the Minnesota Timberwolves for life, that doesn't mean I stopped caring about Kevin Garnett once he was traded away. KG is and always will be the best player to ever wear a Timberwolves jersey. No one will every come close to meaning what he meant to Wolves fans. As sad as it is to see him go, I couldn't be happier that he landed with the Celtics and now has a legitimate chance to compete for an NBA title.
This site simply wouldn't be where it is today without Garnett. It was the heart-felt articles written about him and his struggles that first earned DeROK.Net it's first bits of notoriety. Now that The Big Ticket is dressed in green and white, those articles aren't going to stop. The Boston Celtics are Kevin Garnett's team, which for now, makes them one of my teams. That means they'll get the same treatment as the T-Wolves and Patriots - regular, dedicated articles, filled with optimism and passion. Kevin Garnett never quit on me, so I'm certainly not about to quit on him. His quest for his fist NBA title is now underway, and I plan on writing about it every step of the way!
