Normally, sports fans hate the teams that consistently beat their own teams. That being said, it should come as a great shock that the NBA that I despise the most is none other than, the Denver Nuggets. That's right, the Denver Nuggets.
You might guess that the reason I despise this team is that they're bitter division rivals with my Minnesota Timberwolves. Well that's got very little, if nothing to do with it. For as long as I can remember, the Denver Nuggets have been the doormats of the NBA, so it's not our history of classic battles that has me so fired up.
What firmly planted the Denver Nuggets on my bad side was our playoff series with them back in 2004. The Timberwolves won that series 4-1 and blew them out in most games, so you can be assured that this is in no way my version of sour grapes. But what really struck a nerve was the absolute classlessness from the Denver Nuggets players and fans during that series. Between Carmelo Anthony whining like a girl, Marcus Camby acting like a complete thug, John Barry running his mouth, Fransisco Elson calling Kevin Garnett "gay", and the Denver Nuggets fans raining down trash at my victorious T-Wolves, I managed to lose any ounce of respect I had for this already pathetic franchise.
So here's my tribute to the biggest waste of potential in the NBA:
Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets
So do I even need to write an article making fun of the Denver Nuggets or does this logo speak for itself?
