Nintendo Mega Man ROM Video Games
This section contains my collection of Mega Man ROMs that are playable on within your web browser. In addition, there are ROM patches for download which will allow you to play these games on your PC. Please note that no commercial ROMs are playable on this site, only games released under the GNU/GPL License. Also, absolutely no ROM files, commercial or otherwise, are available for download, only ROM patches. These restrictions have been placed to uphold the copyrights of those who have worked hard to create these games. Despite these limitations, you can rest assured that this section still provides a high-quality and fun experience for all fans of retro-gaming and the Mega Man series.

Before playing the Mega Man games found on this site, please read the following notice:
All the games featured in this section may be played within your web browser by clicking the appropriate link next to "Play it now". However, in order to achieve full functionality as well as the ability to save, you may wish to download the games onto your computer. While this process is simple, it is not straight-forward. Step by step instructions have been provided below.
1. Before downloading any files, please review our content policy.
2. In order to play the Mega Man ROMs you will need the Nintendo Emulator and the IPS patcher program. Download links are directly below.
Nintendo Emulator: Nester (Recommended) or NESticle
IPS Patcher: Lunar IPS
3. Download the corresponding ROM patch for the game you wish to play. These are found below, after the description of each game.
4. You will need to follow the steps contained in the instructions manual to apply the ROM patch and create a playable game.

Bass

The evil plans of Dr.Wily have been foiled many times by MegaMan, the blue bomber. With all of Wily’s robots destroyed, Wily resorts to his secret project… “Bass”. Bass is a prototype among many powerful warrior ‘bots that Wily has created. Unlike the others, Bass has incredible power.
As Wily ponders which ‘bot to continue on with, suddenly an alarm sounds deep in Skull Castle. A mysterious army of renegade robots had attacked his old domain, “Monsteropolis”. Wily seizes this opportunity to test Bass. And so begins Bass’s first adventure. Wily sends Bass to defeat the six robot emperors, PirateMan, GroundMan, ColdMan, MagicMan, BurnerMan and DynamoMan, and retake Monsteropolis.
The world of Monsteropolis has changed over the years, so be careful!

Mega Man in the Mushroom Kingdom

Dr. Wily finally concedes that Mega Man may be too much for his evil robotic creations. Determined to get the best of the blue bomber, Dr. Wily contacts another famous villian, Bowser! Having combined their forces, Dr Wily and Bowser unleash their new destructive creations upon the Mushroom Kingdom. After hearing news of Wily's new plan, Mega Man decides to travel to the Mushroom Kingdom himself to stop Wily again. Mega Man now finds himself in a strange new world filled with obstacles and locales very foreign to him. Fearless, Mega Man presses on to Super Mario's old stomping grounds to defeat these new foes.
Mega Man in the Mushroom Kingdom is set in various classic Mario games. Including Super Mario Bros 1, 2, 3 and World. Megaman faces off against Wily's Bosses as well as Bowser's minions. This being Super Mario's World, he gladly helps out Mega Man by increasing his jumping power as well as outfitting the Blue Bomber with some of his old garbs.

Rockman 2000

Rockman 2000 is a Mega Man remake that features new levels, graphics, enemies, and even music. The levels are very challenging; and some even have small puzzles in them.

Mega Man 2 Remix

For anyone who felt Mega Man 2 was too easy, this is the ROM hack for you! Every level has been reworked extensively to provide a far greater challenge than the original game. In addition, there are a couple graphics modifications, and a slightly different story.

This Mega Man II remake just has to be played! The challenge is very good and all of the graphics has been changed to give this game some extra flavor. There are graphics from other games too but that's a suprise! Mega Man fans will get a kick out of this hack and I'm sure everyone else will enjoy it as well.

Mega Man: Wily's Conquest 2 edits the first 8 stages of the game. They are completely different; new stage graphics, new scrolling, new enemy graphics, new enemy placements, etc., have all been added. Enemies that weren't used in the original, such as the dropping bombs in Air Man's stage, help add some variety to the enemies, and the new two screen boss rooms are a welcome addition that help keep you on your toes.

Mega Man 5 Time Attack

Mega Man 5 Time Attack drastically alters the setup of Mega Man 5 so that it is now a race against the clock rather than a battle against Wily. The scores are stored on a Top 10 list for each stage. Also added is an in-game menu which allows you to continue playing a stage, restart a stage, or return to the main menu. Definitely a great hack for Mega Man fans to get; it adds a ton of replay value to the game.
