You have to love the ambiguously gay, Rod Roddy.

Rod Roddy is now in his 16th year as Bob Barker's sidekick/announcer on daytime television's top-rated game show, The Price is Right. The show, now in its 30th year on CBS is the longest-running game show on a single network in television history.

When he is not working in Hollywood, Rod Roddy is the star of the live $25,000 Game Show at the Roy Clark Theater in Branson, Missouri.

Rod Roddy's television entertainment career was launched when he became the narrator of ABC television's comedy series Soap, which ran for four years.

Rod Roddy worked on various game shows afterward, including Whew! on CBS, Battle of The Stars on NBC, So You Think You've Got Troubles in syndication, Hit Man on NBC, and Press Your Luck on CBS. Rod Roddy was the original announcer on Love Connection before joining Bob Barker on Mark Goodson's The Price is Right.

Internationally, Rod Roddy is the official ambassador of Chaing Mai, Thailand, and travels there frequently to create his colorful Thai silk wardrobe, featured on The Price is Right.

Rod Roddy's extensive radio career included hosting both music and talk shows on stations in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Miami, Orlando, Little Rock, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Cleveland, Atlanta, Buffalo, New York and Los Angeles.

Where do you get your wardrobe?
I am the official ambassador of Chaing Mai, Thailand. That is where I have my jackets made.

How did you get your start in show business?
As a child, I worked in television commercials. In fact, I worked with Pat Boone on occasion. Eventually, I became a deejay on station KXOL in Fort Worth, Texas. My big break came when I narrated ABC’s television comedy series Soap. It ran for four years.
