The Denver Nuggets are the biggest bunch of thugs in basketball.
With Kobe forced to rot away on a team going nowhere fast, and the Spurs being a team that you have to respect, I'd have to say that the current title holders for team I hate the most are the Denver Thuggets. I am so fired up right now from losing to them last night. The T-Wolves are by no means a bunch of altar boys, but the Nuggets are a disgrace to the game of basketball. I'd compare the Wolves to the Red Sox in that they don't have the greatest track record, but when it comes down to it, they're a bunch of good guys who play the game the right way. While they may get into some fights, they aren't ususally the ones starting them. Plus Spree and Huddy have pulled a Johnny Damon going for the most outrageous hairdo in the league. Which by the way, I think they should keep. It's hilarious, and it worked for the Sox.
Now to the Thuggets... They are a team going nowhere. They can't compete with us if their lives depended on it, so instead of losing in a respectable fashion, they decide to turn the game into the WWF and try to sneak by from cheap-shotting us to death. So far, it's only worked 2 out of 6 times. In all honesty, I believe the team that kept the Wolves from winning the title was not the Los Angeles Lakers, it was the Denver Nuggets. In a span of four games they ruptured Sam's eardrum, and messed up Sam's hip, and they BROKE WALLY's BACK. I'm in med-school so I know a little and I'm not trying to be overdramatic here, but we're fortunate that Wally's walking around, let alone playing. That's a more than a little messed up. And it didn't happen by accident. Denver was intentionally playing at a dangerous level. I'm ticked we lost last night, but honestly, I'm just glad nobody got hurt. I won't even get into Fransic... what's his name?
It's definitely going to become a huge rivalry. I'm confident that we can beat them. I just wish I was as confident that we could survive them.
