Tons of off-season player movement should make 2005 interesting.

2005 MLB Season Preview

The 2004 Major League Baseball season will go down in history as one of the most memorable.  Of course, this is mostly due to the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry reaching epic proportions, culminating in the greatest comeback in the history of professional baseball.  However, last season is ancient history and the 2005 campaign has a lot to live up to if it's going to top 2004.  As difficult as that task may be, you have to admit that things are beginning to look promising as teams have begun stockpiling the league's top talents.  Pedro Martinez and Carlos Beltran are hoping to make the Mets contenders again.  While this move weakened Boston, they're hoping David Wells can pick up some of the slack.  The Yankees were quick to add Randy Johnson in hopes of regaining their dominance of the Sox.  But both the Yankees and Red Sox might have to keep an eye out for the Baltimore Orioles who are even stronger at the plate this year with the addition of Sammy Sosa.  However it plays out, 2005 is looking to be one of the best seasons ever!

Steroids have ruined the game of baseball in 2005.
The Orioles, Yankees, and Red Sox are neck and neck atop the AL East.
The Orioles are white-hot a quarter of the way through 2005.
Tons of off-season player movement should make 2005 interesting.

My favorite team, and the one that brought the world Cal Ripken Jr.
Any team that's an arch-rival to the Yankees, is alright in my book.
The "other" baseball team from New York is a diamond in the rough.
The true "Evil Empire" is baseball's most corrosive force.
