The complete collection of Coldplay lyrics from "A" to "X&Y".
From the moment I first heard the lyrics of "Yellow", I knew that the nameless band playing the song was destined to be huge. It turned out that the band was called Coldplay, and I couldn't have been more right about their imminent rise to fame. For some reason, Chris Martin's falsetto singing "Your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones, turn into something beautiful" just resonated with me. I was hooked, and suddenly made it my calling to tell the world about Coldplay.
While I've always been a huge fan of U2, I kinda feel like I hopped on the bandwagon. I can't help it, seeing as I was in diapers when they started playing. But I've always wished that I could have been there from the start. I knew Coldplay had given me that chance. And so as I've listened to them grow from Parachutes, to A Rush Of Blood to the Head, to X&Y, I feel almost a sense of ownership. I think it's safe to say that Coldplay has definitively become, "My Band".
So it's with great pleasure that I bring to you this collection of Coldplay Lyrics. While they happen to be missing the best part, the music, I hope you can still appreciate the wonderful words of their lyrics. Or if you're not the type to appreciate poetry, at least figure out what Chris Martin is singing in the bridge of "Low". It's "If given you your own silver spoon", by the way. (That drove me nuts!)
